24 August 2026.
AgForce will not accept regulation that unnecessarily restricts productive land management or creates perverse environmental outcomes, and we will continue pushing for change while helping producers navigate the laws as they currently stand.
For the past year, AgForce has been pushing back hard against new, unworkable environmental regulations. Understanding what the new laws could mean for your business has never been more important. Join the AgForce Queensland Policy Team at one of our upcoming EPBC Roadshow events to learn how the latest Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) reforms may impact farming and grazing operations across Queensland.
Join us as we push for federal regulation that better reflects Queensland conditions. This is your opportunity to provide the EPA with direct producer feedback on where the Farmer’s Guide needs improvement, and ensure the practical issues AgForce continues to raise get addressed.
Led by Josefine Pettersson (Head of Industry Development), Anna Lethbridge (Policy Advisor), together with Luke Moore (Sustainability Policy Officer), across the regions these practical sessions will cover EPBC reforms, AgForce counter-demands, the 15-year rule, continuing use exemptions, the new National Environment Standards (NES) including Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES), compliance requirements, risk management and the distinction between Commonwealth and Queensland regulation.
Put your questions directly to staff from the new National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) EPBC Regulatory Support Branch. At most locations, Mark Pawsey, CEO of AgCarE, will introduce NatureLedger, a practical tool designed to help producers understand environmental values on their properties and make informed land management decisions.*
Offered free for AgForce members, this opportunity to understand the latest proposed regulatory changes and AgForce’s continued advocacy, ask questions directly of government representatives, and gain practical tools to support your business.
Additional program highlights include:
• Fire Management: Rural Fire Services Qld (Central Queensland and Southern Inland)
• Land Use Protection: Third-Party Land Access, Coal Seam Gas & Renewables (Southern Inland)
• Land Use Protection: Third-Party Land Access, Renewables & Critical Minerals (Central Queensland)
Please note: North East date to be released shortly. NatureLedger presentations will be available at all locations except the North West and South West events.* Members attend free. Bring a non-member neighbour - $25 for non-members to attend.
