AgForce welcomes the lifting of the suspensions and restrictions by Indonesia on the export of our cattle and buffalo.

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s Technical Group on Lumpy Skin Disease spent a number of days in Indonesia last week, touring Indonesian feedlots and quarantine testing facilities, and meeting with Indonesian Officials to discuss Lumpy Skin Disease and the current ban of Australian exports of cattle and buffalo.

The Technical Group’s achievement puts in place an agreement to work closely with Indonesia, resulting in a lifting of the suspension with immediate effect - DAFF media release.

AgForce, along with our industry partners, will continue to work closely with the Australian Government to provide the necessary assurances our trading partners seek about our animal health status, including Indonesia.

Lumpy Skin Disease has never been detected in Australia, and Australia remains free from lumpy skin and any other exotic animal disease.
