The global crop protection industry is experiencing historically tight supply due to challenging trade flows, effects of the pandemic and other forces which have continued to put pressure on already tight supplies. Throughout these situations, Bayer has been working with our customers to help manage supply to best meet their needs, and the needs of Australian growers.

Recently a supplier of a raw ingredient needed to produce glyphosate suffered a mechanical failure which may have some short-term impacts on our global production of the active ingredient to manufacture glyphosate. Bayer in Australia and New Zealand is confident that we will be able to supply customers and growers with glyphosate-based products that meet the current forecast autumn requirements. We are currently working to understand if there are any immediate implications for ANZ customers and growers and will be providing more information as soon as possible.
