AgForce members are encouraged to attend a series of “Becoming Lender Ready” webinars, to help take the fear out of finance.
Running throughout March, Gordon Stone from the Agri-Business Development Institute (ABDI) introduces two online workshops designed to make lending easier, and discusses these six Golden Rules to becoming “lender ready”:
- Understand - the (changing) lending environment
- Clarity (on your plan of attack) - to match it to lender requirements for success
- Commitment - applying your time, effort and discipline effectively
- Insights - so you understand lender needs and put your best case forward
- Engagement - between you and your lender(s)
- Assess - the (lender) offer(s) in detail.
The first webinar on 18 March at 12:30pm (AEST), provides insight into a lender's perspective, so you can “hear directly from a lender about their wants, needs and drivers”.
The second on 25 March, at 12:30pm (AEST), focuses on a producer perspective on accessing finance and the importance of self-understanding and information gathering.
