There's Something About Our Landscape
A Queensland Arts Council ontour onexhibition

By Desley Rolph, Pete Martin, Michael Pospischil and Annabel Tully.

An emotive depiction of the ruthless and hypnotic beauty of the Australian Outback.
A hauntingly beautiful series of paintings that evoke the harshness and beauty of the Australian Outback. This exhibition illustrates an emotional response to our unique environment capturing the vast contradictions of our country from its rugged textures and intense colours, to its perpetual horizons and wandering livestock. With a diversity of artistic technique including oils, acrylic and natural ochres direct from the earth they portray, this is an emotive and spiritual collection from the diverse works of four contemporary landscape artists. There’s Something About Our Landscape is one of 11 exhibitions in Queensland Arts Council’s Ontour onexhibition 2008 Season that tour to regional Queensland. Visit www.qac.org.au for information about booking or visiting an exhibition near you.
Ontour onexhibition tours multimedia visual arts exhibitions into everyday spaces such as libraries and cafes and are of a standard that attract regional galleries and museums. The program ensures all communities throughout regional Queensland have access to high quality visual arts experiences.
