| Keeping grains industry moving AgForce Grains has been working with the Queensland Government to find a resolution to the ongoing truck and train issue. The ‘take or pay’ agreement between QR National and GrainCorp is due for renegotiation in 2012 and AgForce will be speaking to both parties to get the best outcome possible for grain on rail. This is an ongoing issue and is becoming increasingly difficult to secure guaranteed paths on rail due to the competition from coal. AgForce will continue to push the importance of having grain on rail with the private operators and government, as we believe it is a vital service. |
