| Investing in grains industry Research and development is currently a very topical issue for Queensland's grains industry. AgForce is working with and lobbying the government to ensure R&D investment and infrastructure remains in Queensland. There has been progress regarding the recognition of equity in the Leslie Research Centre by the government. The Queensland Government plans to compete their R&D restructure November/December 2009, however there remains issues which have not been fully resolved to the satisfaction of AgForce and the grains industry. The Queensland Government has made a commitment that they do not want to finalise the process without the backing of AgForce. |
