AgForce
welcomes every person with an interest in an
eligible farming enterprise to become a member,
as well as many others involved in the rural
sector. There are several categories of AgForce
membership:
Full
member
The principals of a single eligible farming
enterprise may nominate any person with an
interest in that enterprise as the full member.
"An interest in an eligible farming
enterprise" can be either a financial
interest or by their labour, in livestock, grain
and/or primary production or the ownership of
land suitable for the operation of these
industries.
Membership fees are scaled according to the size
of the enterprise, according to the schedule
shown in the following table:

* The Gross
Value of Production (GVP or sales) is calculated
on a five-year rolling average of combined gross
income from commodities represented by AgForce.
The 10% GST component of the fee is reclaimable
as a tax input.
Joint member
• Any other person with an interest, either
financial or through their labour, in the
eligible farming enterprise represented by
the nominated Full Member, is entitled to
membership as a joint member, provided they
are not otherwise eligible for membership as
a full member.
• The first joint member of an eligible
farming enterprise is not required to pay
any prescribed entrance fee. Typically, this
first free joint member might be the spouse
or business partner of the nominated full
member.
• Subsequent joint members will be charted
an annual nominal fee of $59.00 plus 10% GST
totalling $64.90.
• Typically, subsequent joint
members might be family members such as
children or other business partners of the
nominated full member, who may have an
interest, either financial or by their
labour, in the business.
Full and joint members have equal rights
and status as members, including equal
voting rights.
Support
member
A person or business may be eligible for
membership as a support member if they
operate business or are individuals with an
interest in the industries represented by
AgForce, for a membership fee of $335.00
plus 10% GST totalling $368.50.
Student
member
An association of students from a Queensland
Tertiary Institution is eligible for
membership as a student member and may
nominate one representative from the
association to vote on matters at a
subregional level on behalf of the
association, for an annual membership fee of
$335.00 plus 10% GST totalling $368.50.
Young
member
Any person between 15 and 35 years of age
with an interest in the rural industry and
not eligible for membership as Full or Joint
members may become Young members for a
membership fee of $40.00 plus 10% GST
totalling $44.00.
