the 2008 conference |

Registration Fees
AgForce
is excited to introduce online
conference registration for the
first time. This process should
ensure you can quickly and easily
register for conference and receive
the relevant paperwork immediately.
For those without internet access
you will be able to call our
regional administration to register.
Registrations open late June and
more details will be posted on the
AgForce website at that time.
Conference Venue
The
AgForce 2008 State Conference will
be held from September 16-18 at the
Proserpine Entertainment Centre, 16
Main Street, Proserpine
Accommodation
Tourism
Whitsundays will assist with
accommodation for the AgForce 2008
State Conference. All bookings and
enquires should be directed to the
Whitsunday Information Centre -
1800 801 252 or email wicmanager@tourismwhitsundays.com.au
Please
book early as while there are a lot
of accommodation properties in the
vicinity we will be competing for
accommodation with tourists in
September.
Industry
Tour
An
industry tour is being organised for
conference delegates on Tuesday,
September 16. Bookings prior to the
conference are essential and can be
made online at the same time as
registering for conference.
Transport information
Proserpine is in the well-known
Whitsundays region. The town is the
anchor for the region, with key
infrastructure including the rail
station and mainland airport. It is
26km from Airlie Beach on the Bruce
Highway and is at the centre of a
rural industry based on sugar and
beef production, as well as the ever
popular tourist destinations both on
the mainland and on the various
islands of the Great Barrier Reef.
The region has regular plane, bus
and train transport.
Climate
The
Whitsundays enjoys a tropical
climate of hot summers, warm winters
and bright spring and autumn days.
Average temperature in September
ranges from max 25.4°C to min
19.8°C. Water temperatures remain a
welcoming 25°C all year round.

the conference and social events
will be made available to you if you
indicate on the registration form.
Cancellation Policy
All
alterations or cancellations must be
made in writing to the Conference
Manager. A full refund less an
administration charge of $50 shall
be paid on cancellations notified
prior to September 1, 2008. No
refunds will be paid on
cancellations notified after
September 1, except under
exceptional circumstances and only
if requested in writing. Substitutes
will be accepted at no additional
cost.
